A little bit about my life..

Hello Friends,

My name is Kim Lumpkins, the owner of Sapling Heirlooms. Just a little about me -- I am a veteran school teacher of 40 years and recently retired in May of this year. Family is very important to me and that is what has molded my whole being. My husband is a retired educator and writes history books about our city of Gallatin, Tennessee. Together we have 4 boys that are grown with children and all live close by. My parents are still living and also live nearby. Such a blessing!

One of my most favorite things is being a grandmother and now a great-grandmother. My mother and grandmothers were such a big influence in my life.They taught me so many things; from cooking, sewing and just the everyday life lessons about being a mom, wife, and a Christian. I treasure my mom and I’m so thankful to still have her in my life. In this new chapter of my life, I am experiencing the love of my grandchildren and great-grandchildren! It is the best and I am Blessed to see them often! Grandchildren are truly God’s gift!

As the Christmas season is upon us, I am blessed beyond measure. With my parents still with us, it makes the holidays more special. We are a rowdy bunch when we are all together, but making more memories is the fun part. This is my favorite time of the year.
