As a young girl, I watched my grandmothers and my mom sew for me. I watched in wonder as they sewed my ballet costumes, bathing suits, prom dress and more. As a mother of two boys, I occasionally sewed for them as toddlers but, as a teacher and mom, I became consumed by teaching and watching my two boys play all sports. Sewing was put on the back burner, only sewing for myself when time allotted. When I became a grandmother, I had grandchildren that were older and past the baby stage. It wasn’t until I had my granddaughter, the first girl on my families side, that my love of sewing began again. I experimented by sewing bibs, loveys, burp cloths, paci clips and blankets. This led me to create my own patterns. My grandchildren have inspired me to create sets for babies. My hope is that these sets will be treasured for many years to come.
